Shalom,

If you are reading this, then you are either thinking about joining our congregation or you already have joined. In either case, I bid you welcome and ask that you allow me to tell you a few things about the temple.

The first thing you need to know, if you haven't already seen for yourself, is that we're small. Yet, we are a shul that manages to deliver a great deal to our members, despite, or perhaps because of our size. Through our religious services, our adult education program, our social action activities, our social activities, and our school, one common characteristic consistently shines though: We constitute a community that quite genuinely cares about itself. Our members take care of one another in a way one rarely witnesses these days in synagogue life.

This is the great virtue of our tradition as a small congregation. It's easy to get to know almost everyone, and it's easy to feel part of the community.It is certainly one of the essential elements of Judaism that its members have a caring attitude for one another. In our temple every new member can easily find a place. That is another of the essential elements of Judaism, everyone who wishes can participate.

I could go on, but this letter is supposed to be brief. I hope you find yourself interested in finding out more about our temple. I look forward to meeting you and would be glad to answer any questions you may have.
