Capital Campaign

The Temple Beth Shalom Capital Campaign is underway and we urgently need your support! Click on the icon to the right to see the different ways you can help.

Every year, we try to address the shortcomings of our building, but many of our costly maintenance projects remain unfunded. Thanks to the determined efforts of past members and Temple leadership, the mortgage to our building was paid off years ago. This has enabled Temple Beth Shalom to maintain dues at an affordable level, while providing a religious school, a full schedule of High Holiday services, regular religious services, social events, social action initiatives, and community celebrations of all kinds. Most importantly, it is a home for all of us to come together in faith and friendship.

It is with a desire to preserve this home that we are asking for your help. Our goal is to raise a total of $1,000,000 to cover the costs of the renovation, relocation rental expenses, and new Temple furnishings.

We ask each of you to reflect on what this Temple has meant to you in the past and what you would like it to be in the future. Consider this to be an opportunity for you to become a new Founding Member of Temple Beth Shalom.

We Need Your Help!

Today, Temple Beth Shalom must seek extraordinary help. Despite dedicated efforts, our aging building requires immediate action to address the following issues:

  • The building foundation under the kitchen and storage areas has deteriorated and must be replaced.
  • The kitchen cabinets, sink area, and workspaces are substandard, inadequate, and in dire need of a complete replacement.
  • Portions of the interior walls are buckling and need major repairs.
  • The roof is in need of replacement.
  • The chimney needs to be replaced.
  • Electrical wiring, plumbing and lighting need updating.
  • The heating system is old and inefficient.
  • The storage areas are inadequate.
  • A custodial storage closet and sink are necessary.
  • Handicap accessibility is lacking.
