Capital Campaign
So, we wanted a new temple. and now we have one!
Well, to be truthful it is a fair amount of the old temple and a lot of the new temple.
Everyone who has seen it has just called it "BEAUTIFUL".
We are now in the process, with much help from our new President,
Nancy Kukura, of putting the finishing touches on our renovation, which has transformed
our tired old building into a handicap accessible building with a modern kitchen,
new bathrooms, a lobby, a refreshed school wing, and a renewed sanctuary filled with light.
Those of us who have been "connected at the hips and ankles" to
this endeavor are looking forward to the dedication of our new community home.
There will be a series of celebrations throughout the coming year and much
rejoicing over what we have all accomplished.
The project could not have been completed without the dedication of
the Design Committee, the Contractor Committee, the Construction Committee,
the Logistics Committee, the Mortgage Team, the Fundraising Committee,
the Moving Committee and all of the members both past and present,
friends and businesses, who have pledged and donated to make this possible.
There is only one last major thing to do on this tremendous project.
That will be to work hard over the next few years to retire our mortgage.
